Product Specific Information
MA1-950 detects human and mouse Bcl-3 from transfected cells and shows no cross-reactivity to other Bcl isoforms.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and FACS procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~47 kDa protein representing Bcl-3 from C57BI/6 human T cells and Bcl-3 transgenic mouse T cells.
The immunogen is full-length Bcl-3 protein from mouse.
Target Information
B cell Lymphoma 3 (Bcl-3) is a member of the IkB subfamily of inhibitors, which is part of the NF-kB transcription factor family.
A balance in the concentration of various NF-kB family members regulates apoptosis and survival of activated T cells.
Bcl-3 functions in cytoplasmic activation of p50 homodimers, nuclear translocation, and modulation of transcriptional machinery.
Its activity involves nuclear interacting proteins such as Tip60, Jab1, Bard1, and Pirin.
