Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The 26S proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex with a highly ordered structure composed of a 20S core and a 19S regulator.
- The 20S core consists of four rings of 28 non-identical subunits (two α and two β rings).
- The 19S regulator includes a base (6 ATPase and 2 non-ATPase subunits) and a lid (up to 10 non-ATPase subunits).
Proteasomes are abundant in eukaryotic cells and cleave peptides via an ATP/ubiquitin-dependent, non-lysosomal pathway. The immunoproteasome variant processes class I MHC peptides.
The PSMD10 gene encodes a non-ATPase subunit of the 19S regulator, with two described isoforms and pseudogenes on chromosomes 3 and 20.
