Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
MSMB protein is a member of the immunoglobulin binding factor family. It is synthesized by epithelial cells of the prostate gland and secreted into seminal plasma. This protein has inhibin-like activity and may function as an autocrine/paracrine factor in uterine, breast, and other female reproductive tissues. Expression is decreased in prostate cancer. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms are described. Alternate polyadenylation sites have been found for this gene.
