Target Information
포유류의 미토콘드리아 리보솜 단백질은 핵 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, 미토콘드리아 내 단백질 합성에 관여합니다. 미토리보솜은 작은 28S 소단위체와 큰 39S 소단위체로 구성되며, 단백질 대 rRNA 비율이 약 75%로, 원핵 리보솜과는 반대입니다. 또한 포유류 미토리보솜에는 5S rRNA가 존재하지 않습니다. 종에 따라 미토리보솜 단백질의 서열 및 생화학적 특성이 크게 달라져, 서열 상동성만으로는 쉽게 인식되지 않습니다. MRPL44 유전자는 39S 소단위체 단백질을 암호화합니다.
