Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존성 세포-세포 접착 단백질로, cadherin 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 고전적 cadherin입니다. 이 단백질은 다섯 개의 세포외 cadherin 반복, 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 꼬리를 포함합니다. CDH1 유전자(16번 염색체)에 의해 암호화되며, 돌연변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암과 관련이 있습니다. E-Cadherin의 기능 상실은 세포 증식, 침윤, 전이를 증가시켜 암 진행에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 세포 구조 유지 및 조직 무결성 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다. 세포외 도메인은 세균의 부착을 매개하며, 세포질 도메인은 내재화에 필요합니다.
