The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CYP1B1 is a 543 amino acid intracellular protein localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. It belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes, which function as monooxygenases catalyzing reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids. This enzyme metabolizes procarcinogens such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and 17β-estradiol, and is involved in the metabolism of substances active in eye growth and differentiation, suggesting a role in ocular development. Mutations in CYP1B1 are associated with primary congenital glaucoma.
