Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)는 Bcl-2 계열에 속하며 세포 생존 유지에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 아폽토시스를 억제하고 Isoform 2는 촉진합니다. MCL1은 DNA 손상 자극(방사선, 자외선, 알킬화제)에 의해 발현이 증가하며, 세포 분화 과정에서 bcl-2와 함께 세포 생존을 유지합니다.
MCL1은 Bim 또는 Bak과 같은 Bcl-2 계열의 친아폽토시스 단백질을 중화시켜 아폽토시스를 억제하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MCL1은 배아 발생과 면역세포(B, T 세포)의 발달 및 유지에 필수적입니다. 두 가지 주요 isoform(MCL1L, MCL1S)이 존재하며, MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 유도합니다.
