This antibody detects endogenous PLCγ2 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 148 kDa.

Target Information
Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) is essential for receptor-mediated signal transduction by generating two second messengers: inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate.
Mammalian PLC isoforms include PLCβ1–β4, PLCγ1–γ2, PLCδ1–δ2, and PLCε. PLCδ1 acts as a calcium signal amplifier and is activated by atypical GTP-binding proteins. It functions as an effector in oxytocin receptor and α1B-adrenoreceptor signaling mediated by transglutaminase II.
Mouse PLCδ1 is highly expressed in brain, heart, lung, and testis. PLCδ accumulation has been observed in Alzheimer’s disease brains, suggesting a role in disease pathology. PLCδ2 expression is associated with intestinal metaplasia and adenocarcinoma, indicating its potential as a marker for gastric malignant transformation.
