Target Information
MET (c-MET) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation has been linked to various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET plays critical roles in embryonic development, including gastrulation, muscle and neuron formation, angiogenesis, and kidney development. In adults, it contributes to wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling.
Aberrant MET activity has been associated with cancers including gastric, renal, and breast cancer, making it a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostic research.
