For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD2 (LFA-2) is a monomeric surface antigen (MW range 45–58 kDa) expressed on human T-lymphocytes, found on over 95% of thymocytes and some natural killer cells, but not on B lymphocytes.
CD2 facilitates adhesion between T cells and antigen-presenting cells via interaction with CD58. This interaction, although of low affinity in solution, forms strong adhesion at the cell interface.
T cell activation increases CD2 expression and mobility, enhancing CD2-CD58 contacts and strengthening intercellular adhesion.
CD2 deficiency is linked to reduced intestinal inflammation and altered infection control. Dysfunction of CD2 is associated with immune deficiency and certain carcinomas.
