Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a mixture of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
Unlike traditional polyclonal antibodies, these recombinant Superclonal™ antibodies maintain batch-to-batch consistency by using a defined mixture of light and heavy chains. This ensures reproducible results and eliminates biological variability.

Target Information
GDNF (Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) is a glycosylated, disulfide-bonded homodimer first identified as a potent survival factor for midbrain dopaminergic neurons. It has been shown to rescue these neurons in animal models of Parkinson’s disease and is approximately 100 times more effective as a survival factor for spinal motor neurons compared to neurotrophins. GDNF promotes survival and morphological differentiation of dopaminergic neurons and enhances their high-affinity dopamine uptake.
