Target Information
The Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide Receptor 2 (VPAC2) is part of a family of three G-protein coupled receptors mediating VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) and PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase activating peptide) functions in various tissues. VPAC1 and VPAC2 together form a subtype of VIP receptors. Expression of VIP and PACAP receptors has been associated with human tumors.
