Target Information

C5AR2 is an orphan member of the anaphylatoxin receptor family. It is a seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor with an N-terminal N-glycosylation site, conserved cysteines, and potential C-terminal phosphorylation sites.
It binds to C5a and C5a-des-Arg, serving as a regulated scavenger receptor that negatively modulates C5aR-mediated inflammation.
Northern blot analysis indicates co-expression with C5aR in tissues and cells including neutrophils, macrophages, mast cells, dendritic cells, brain, lung, heart, kidney, liver, ovary, and testis.
