Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity.
CD205 is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDC), and thymic epithelial cells.

Note: CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; these formats should not be used on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤ 0.03 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Compatibility:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01):
Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
Add 5 µL per sample (regardless of number of NovaFluors).
For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates are based on Phiton™ technology utilizing novel nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescence and minimal spillover.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein that mediates antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity.
It is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and variably expressed in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.
CD205 functions as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to specialized antigen processing regions and may reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated diseases include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
