Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation. It enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity and is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells, with variable expression in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; these formats should not be used on CD205+ dendritic cells.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse bone marrow cells (≤ 0.03 µg/test, 100 µL final volume)

Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Careful titration recommended for optimal performance.

Compatibility Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assays.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer Usage:

• Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
• Add 5 µL per sample (10³–10⁸ cells) to antibody cocktails or single-color controls.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is a membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell responses. It is expressed in CD8+ dendritic cells, bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.
Acts as an endocytic receptor directing antigens to specialized processing regions and may reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated disorders include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
