Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived DCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; therefore, these should not be used on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤ 0.2 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls: use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75)
An integral membrane glycoprotein mediating antigen uptake and presentation, promoting antigen-specific T cell immunity. Expressed in CD8⁺ DCs, bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells. Functions as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to specialized processing regions and can modulate B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated diseases include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
