• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
• Ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the gap junction protein family. Gap junction proteins are membrane-spanning proteins that form channels facilitating the transfer of ions and small molecules between cells. Based on sequence similarities, they are divided into alpha and beta categories.
Mutations in this gene cause X-linked Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, an inherited peripheral neuropathy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
