Product Specific Information
This hIL33Rcap monoclonal antibody recognizes human IL-33R (ST2). It binds both membrane-bound (ST2L) and soluble (ST2S) forms and is suitable for surface and intracellular staining.
This clone is also used as a capture antibody in the IL-33R (ST2) Human ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit (Product # EPX010-12231-901).
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on LAD2 cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Target Information
IL-33R (ST2) is a receptor for IL-33, part of the IL-1 receptor family. Its extracellular domain has three Ig-like domains that interact with IL-1RAcP and IL-33.
IL-33 binding activates adaptor proteins (MyD88, IRAK1, IRAK4, TRAF6) and downstream NF-κB and MAPK signaling, leading to cytokine release (IL-5, IL-6, IL-8, IL-13).
Two isoforms exist: ST2L (membrane-bound) and ST2S (soluble). Soluble forms may act as decoys to modulate IL-33 signaling.
IL-33R is expressed mainly in mast cells, basophils, and eosinophils. In mice, expression is seen in ILC2 and Th2 cells.
IL-33R signaling is implicated in allergies, arthritis, atherosclerosis, and sepsis.
