This antibody detects endogenous QSER1 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 190 kDa.
Purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
QSER1 (glutamine and serine-rich protein 1) is a 1,735 amino acid protein phosphorylated upon DNA damage, likely by Atm or ATR.
A SNP located nearly equidistant between QSER1 and PRRG4 on chromosome 11 has been associated with Parkinson disease.
QSER1 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is conserved in several species including chimpanzee, canine, bovine, mouse, rat, chicken, and zebrafish.
It maps to human chromosome 11p13, which contains approximately 135 million base pairs and 1,400 genes.
Chromosome 11 is rich in gene-disease associations, including Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome, Niemann-Pick disease, hereditary angioedema, and Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome.
