Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts specifically to Histone H3 monomethylated at Lysine 56 (K56me1) and shows no cross-reactivity with non-modified Lysine 56 or other methylations in histone H3.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Superior specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure. Histones play essential roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation of the N-terminal tail of histone H3 influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
