Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, where it catalyzes various reactions. GST is commonly used to create GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
