Target Information
FLT3 (Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in hematopoietic cell development. Activation occurs via binding of the FLT3 ligand, leading to receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation. This activates downstream pathways regulating apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation in bone marrow cells. Mutations causing constitutive activation are associated with acute myeloid and lymphoblastic leukemia.
