Product Specific Information
The LN3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human MHC class II molecule HLA-DR, expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
HLA-DR is a heterodimeric transmembrane protein composed of alpha and beta subunits, crucial for peptide presentation to CD4+ T lymphocytes.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells
- Recommended Usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
Alexa Fluor 660 emits at 690 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers, multiplexing with APC, Alexa Fluor 647, and Alexa Fluor 700.
- Excitation: 662 nm
- Emission: 690 nm
- Laser: Red Laser
Target Information
HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
The alpha chain gene (DRA) contains five exons; exons 2 and 3 encode extracellular domains. DRA serves as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5.
DRB polymorphisms define peptide binding specificities, with hundreds of alleles identified—important for transplantation typing.
HLA-DR is primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
MHC class II molecules bind intracellular peptides and present them to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
HLA and MHC antibodies are vital tools in Immunopeptidomics, supporting neoantigen identification via LC-MS/MS.
