Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. It is preferentially expressed in mature B lymphocytes and may play a role in B cell development and autoimmune responses.
This receptor binds specifically to TNFSF13B (TALL-1/BAFF), leading to NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK activation. It also interacts with TRAF family members, mediating cell survival and proliferation signals.
