- ICC/IF has been performed using methanol-fixed IMR90 primary human fibroblasts.
- Suggested positive controls: antigen standard for NBN (transient overexpression lysate), TK6 and HeLa whole cell extracts.
Target Information
The p95 gene (identical to NBS1 and nibrin) is a component of the hMre11/hRad50 double-strand break complex. This complex is implicated in Nijmegen breakage syndrome, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by increased cancer incidence, cell cycle checkpoint deficits, and sensitivity to ionizing radiation. It provides a direct molecular link between double-strand break repair and cell cycle checkpoint functions.
