Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism. It is involved in homeostasis and obesity. Lower adiponectin levels are linked to obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. In mice, adiponectin improves insulin signaling and reduces intramyocellular lipid levels via activation of AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, enhancing fatty acid oxidation and transport.
