DR3 (TNFRSF25)는 TNF-receptor superfamily에 속하며, 림프구가 풍부한 조직에서 주로 발현됩니다. NF-kappa B 활성화 및 세포 사멸 조절에 관여하며, 다양한 death domain adaptor 단백질을 통해 신호전달이 이루어집니다.
마우스 knockout 연구에서는 DR3/TNFRSF25가 자가반응성 T 세포 제거에 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났습니다.
이 유전자는 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체를 가지며, T 세포 활성화 시 막결합형 isoform의 발현이 증가하여 림프구 증식 조절에 관여합니다.
