0.2 µg/mL of MA5-45214 was sufficient for detection of HSP70 in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 70 kDa. May detect HSP70, HSC70, p75, and HSP72.
Target Information
HSP70 is a heat shock protein expressed in response to various biological stresses, including high temperatures. The HSP70 family includes highly conserved proteins such as HSP70, HSP72, HSC70, GRP78, and p75. These proteins aid in stabilizing and folding newly translated proteins and are involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. The HSP70 gene is located in the MHC class III region, clustered with two related genes encoding similar proteins.
