Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and consistent lot-to-lot reproducibility. Functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies, they recognize multiple epitopes on the target and offer enhanced detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each recombinant Superclonal™ antibody contains a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typical of traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

p19 is a member of the INK4 family of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. It forms a stable complex with CDK4 or CDK6, preventing activation of CDK kinases and regulating cell cycle G1 progression. Expression of p19 oscillates in a cell-cycle dependent manner, lowest at mid-G1 and highest during S phase. It plays a role in repressing neuronal proliferation and spermatogenesis.
