Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD137 (TNFRSF9, 4-1BB) is an inducible costimulatory molecule expressed mainly on activated T cells.
Its ligand, 4-1BBL, is expressed on activated macrophages, mature B cells, hematopoietic stem cells, and myeloid progenitor cells.
CD137 signaling supports survival and clonal expansion of activated and memory CD8+ T cells, while regulating myelopoiesis and dendritic cell development.
Triggered CD137 induces cytokine release that modulates peripheral monocyte survival.
Soluble CD137 forms may act as negative regulators in certain immune responses.
