Target Information
PUF60 encodes a Ro RNP-binding protein that interacts with Ro RNPs, potentially conferring a gain of function. It forms a ternary complex with FUSE and FUSE-binding protein, repressing a c-myc reporter via FUSE. It also targets transcription factor IIH and inhibits activated transcription. This gene is implicated in xeroderma pigmentosum disorder. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encode different isoforms, and multiple polyadenylation sites are reported.
