Target Information
PUF60 encodes a Ro RNP-binding protein that interacts with Ro RNPs, potentially representing a gain of function for these complexes. It forms a ternary complex with FUSE and FUSE-binding protein, repressing a c-myc reporter via FUSE and targeting transcription factor IIH to inhibit activated transcription. This gene is implicated in xeroderma pigmentosum disorder, with two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms and evidence of multiple polyadenylation sites.
