Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MAPK7 (ERK5) serine/threonine kinase belongs to the MAP kinase family and participates in various cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development.
It is activated by MAP2K5/MEK5 and translocates to the nucleus upon extracellular stimulation to regulate gene expression by phosphorylating transcription factors.
MAPK7 deletion in mice causes defective vascular and cardiac development, indicating its essential role in endothelial function and vascular integrity.
Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been reported.
ERK5 is expressed in many adult tissues such as heart, placenta, lung, kidney, and skeletal muscle, but not detectable in liver.
