Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CYP2A13 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily. These enzymes are monooxygenases that catalyze various reactions involved in drug metabolism and the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids. CYP2A13 is particularly involved in the metabolism of 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone, a nitrosamine specific to tobacco.
