Product Specific Information

  • For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

In response to environmental stress, cells increase expression of heat shock or stress proteins.
HSPB1 (Heat Shock Protein Beta-1, also known as HSP27) is a small heat shock protein functioning as a molecular chaperone, maintaining denatured proteins in a folding-competent state.
It contributes to stress resistance and actin organization, regulating processes such as phosphorylation and axonal transport of neurofilament proteins.
Mutations in the HSPB1 gene are associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2F and distal hereditary motor neuronopathy type 2B.
