• In sandwich ELISAs, approximately 15% reactivity with recombinant mouse TWEAK is observed.
• No cross-reactivity with recombinant human BAFF, EDA-A2, LIGHT, Fas Ligand, GITR Ligand, LTα1β2, LTα2β1, OX40 Ligand, TNF-α, TRANCE, TRAIL, 4-1BB, or APRIL is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF) of structurally related cytokines.
TWEAK is a type II transmembrane protein, though a smaller, biologically active soluble form can be generated by cleavage near the cell membrane.
It has multiple biological functions including:

• Stimulation of cell growth and angiogenesis
• Induction of inflammatory cytokines
• Promotion of apoptosis

TWEAK signals primarily through TweakR/Fn14, similar to other TNFSF members that bind receptors lacking death domains.
