Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MDM2 protein is the primary regulator of p53 protein stability. MDMX (also known as MDM4) is an MDM2-related protein that inhibits MDM2-mediated degradation of p53 through distinct interactions with MDM2.
The MDMX gene is often amplified in malignant gliomas. ARF interacts with MDMX to sequester it within the nucleolus, increasing p53 transactivation. Expression of MDMX can reverse MDM2-targeted degradation of p53 while maintaining suppression of p53 transactivation.
Like MDM2, MDMX also binds and stabilizes p73, leading to an increased half-life of p73.
