Thermo Fisher Scientific Oncomine™ Immune Response Research Assay

The Oncomine™ Immune Response Research Assay is a targeted gene expression assay designed for the Ion™ next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform.
This pan-cancer assay interrogates the tumor microenvironment to enable mechanistic studies and identification of predictive biomarkers for immunotherapy in both retrospective and prospective clinical research cohorts.

The assay measures expression of genes involved in tumor-immune interactions, including low-expressing genes related to inflammatory signaling. It contains reagents for manual library construction and a single pool of primers for multiplex PCR preparation of amplicon libraries from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples.

This 400-gene panel supports quantitative evaluation of markers associated with leukocyte subsets, antigen presentation, checkpoint pathways, and tumor progression. It demonstrates high sensitivity for low-expressing transcripts and leverages Ion AmpliSeq™ technology to deliver robust results from as little as 10 ng of total RNA.

Assay Workflow

The manual workflow supports high sample multiplexing on Ion S5™ and Ion PGM™ sequencing systems.
The entire workflow—from sample extraction to results—can be completed in less than 48 hours.

Note: An alternate assay (Cat. No. A32928) is available for automated library preparation using the Ion Chef™ System.
