Target Information
This gene encodes a telomere-specific protein that is part of the telomere nucleoprotein complex. It is present at telomeres throughout the cell cycle and acts as a telomerase inhibitor, limiting elongation of chromosome ends. The protein includes a C-terminal Myb motif, a dimerization domain near the N-terminus, and an acidic N-terminus. Two alternatively spliced transcripts are known.
