GPR83은 423개의 아미노산으로 구성된 orphan GPCR 단백질로, tachykinin 및 NPY 수용체와 밀접한 관련이 있습니다. 인간에서는 mouse GIR 단백질의 상동체로, 주로 뇌에서 발현되며 선택적으로 상향 조절됩니다. 세포 표면의 7-막관통 도메인 구조를 가지며, Foxp3+ Treg 세포의 말초 생성 유도에 관여하여 면역 관용 조절 기전에 참여할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
