This peptide corresponds to 19 amino acids near the amino terminus of human GABARAP.
PEP-1602 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34559.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37ºC.

Target Information

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the main inhibitory transmitter by increasing a Cl⁻ conductance that inhibits neuronal firing in the central nervous system. It activates ionotropic (GABAA) and metabotropic (GABAB) receptors, as well as a third class called GABAC.
GABARAP (GABAA receptor-associated protein) links GABAA receptors to the cytoskeleton and may play a role in intracellular transport and receptor-cytoskeleton interactions.
GABARAP belongs to the MAP1 or ATG8-like family, and studies show that MAPK15/ERK8 interacts with ATG8 family proteins to regulate autophagy.
