This peptide corresponds to 18 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human GOLGA5.
PEP-1606 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34563.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37ºC.

The Golgi apparatus participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consisting of stacked cisternae.
Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are important for Golgi reorganization during mitosis.
This gene encodes a golgin family protein, a coiled-coil membrane protein involved in vesicle tethering and docking.
Translocations involving this gene and the ret proto-oncogene have been found in tumor tissues, producing chimeric sequences designated RET-II and PTC5.
