Target Information
CHST5/CHST6 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 케라탄의 GlcNAc 잔기에 황산기를 전달하는 효소로, 각막 투명성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 유전자의 결함은 마큘라 각막이영양증(Macular Corneal Dystrophy, MCD)의 원인이 됩니다.
