Target Information
ALDH4A1은 알데하이드 탈수소효소 단백질군에 속하며, 미토콘드리아 매트릭스 내 NAD 의존성 탈수소효소로서 프롤린 분해 경로의 두 번째 단계를 촉매합니다. 이 효소는 피롤린-5-카복실레이트를 글루타메이트로 전환하며, 결핍 시 Type II hyperprolinemia와 관련이 있습니다. 이 질환은 delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate (P5C) 및 프롤린의 축적으로 특징지어지는 상염색체 열성 질환입니다.
