Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1). Anti-Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1) matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1) (500-P74Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1).

Western Blot:
To detect Rat GRO/KC by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Rat GRO/KC is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL3—also known as GRO alpha, GRO beta (MIP-2 alpha), and GRO gamma (MIP-2 beta)—are members of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. Mature CXCL1/2/3 proteins bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B and are potent neutrophil attractants and activators. In vitro, processed forms GRO-alpha(4–73), GRO-alpha(5–73), and GRO-alpha(6–73) show a 30-fold higher chemotactic activity.
