This antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA2 only when phosphorylated at Ser897.
Target Information
EPHA2 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are involved in developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. EPHA2 is overexpressed in many types of human cancers. The tyrosine kinase (TK) group regulates cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death. Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including 58 receptor protein TKs (e.g., EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (e.g., ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
