TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1)는 캡사이신의 수용체로, 통증 및 열 자극 감지에 관여하는 비선택성 양이온 채널입니다.
이 단백질은 TRP 계열의 다른 채널(TRPC3, TRPC6 등)과 구조적으로 유사하며, 6개의 막 통과 도메인, P-loop 막 도메인 및 3개의 ankyrin 반복 도메인을 포함합니다.
TRPV1은 칼슘, 마그네슘, 나트륨, 칼륨 등의 이온에 투과성이 있으며, 감각 신경에서 발현되어 통증 자극 전달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
관련 질환으로는 과민성 대장 증후군(IBS) 및 방광 질환이 보고되어 있습니다.
