The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, and the purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
BAF53B belongs to the chromatin remodeling brain-specific BAF (bBAF) complex, which plays a role in ATP-dependent remodeling of mononucleosomes. It is part of the neuron-specific chromatin remodeling complex (nBAF) required for postmitotic neural development and dendritic outgrowth. During neural differentiation, a switch occurs from progenitor npBAF complexes (containing ACTL6A/BAF53A and PHF10/BAF45A) to neuron-specific nBAF complexes (containing ACTL6B/BAF53B and DPF1/BAF45B or DPF3/BAF45C). This switch is essential for neuronal maturation and dendritic growth regulation. ACTL6B/BAF53B is critical for targeting the nBAF complex and CREST to promoters of genes involved in dendritic growth.
