Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Dim2, also known as TXNL4B (thioredoxin-like 4B) or DLP, is a 149 amino acid nuclear protein that forms a homodimer and plays an essential role in pre-mRNA splicing. It shares 38% sequence identity with Dim1 and is required for the S/G₂ transition during the cell cycle. Dim2 binds to the PRP6 (U5-102K) subunit of the spliceosome. The gene encoding Dim2 is located on human chromosome 16, which contains over 900 genes and represents nearly 3% of the human genome. Chromosome 16 is associated with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome and Crohn's disease, a gastrointestinal inflammatory condition.
