This 1A6 monoclonal antibody recognizes hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) of Sendai virus.
It has been successfully used in flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry, and reported for neutralization.
The CTS CytoTune-iPS 2.1 and 2.0 Sendai Reprogramming Kits utilize Sendai virus particles to deliver Yamanaka factors into target cells for iPSC generation.
Clone 1A6 can detect residual Sendai virus after transduction and tissue culture.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometry and ICC/IF.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of Sendai virus-infected cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration required per assay.
Target Information
Sendai virus is a single-stranded RNA respirovirus (family Paramyxoviridae) that replicates in the respiratory tract of mammals such as mice, hamsters, rats, and guinea pigs.
It is highly contagious and transmitted via aerosolized respiratory secretions.
The Hemagglutinin-Neuraminidase (HN) protein facilitates viral entry and infection by binding and cleaving terminal sialic acids on cell surface glycoproteins.
